Rich Ruder, MS, DVM

Chief of Staff

Dr. Richard Ruder was born and raised on a small dairy farm in Marshfield, Wisconsin.  From a young age he found joy in working with the animals and by eleven years old he new that he wanted to be a large animal veterinarian when he grew up.  

In 1994, Dr. Ruder received a Bachelor's degree with a major in Animal Science and minors in Chemistry and Pre-veterinary medicine from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.  He then ventured out west to pursue a Master's degree in Ruminant Nutrition, which he received in 1996 from the University of Wyoming.  In 2001, Dr. Ruder graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine with his Doctorate degree.

Dr. Ruder has been working at the Mayville Animal Clinic since June 2001.  He is interested in every aspect of bovine medicine and surgery.  He enjoys helping the farmers be successful by assisting them in their veterinary needs.

In his free time, Dr. Ruder enjoys spending time with his wife, Iryna, and two sons, Trey and Tim.  His hobbies include rasing chickens, beekeeping, and eBay.
